back in the place i used to work....

downstairs in the storage warehouse was an
old box... and inside this box was a ton of
pictures and various other junk. i discovered
it while i was downstairs looking for
something. i decided that i would eventually
go down there and sift through it.

one day while i had nothing better to do,
i remembered the box and decided that i'd
go down there and check it out.

i eventually came across this picture that
just stood out from all the rest. i just
loved it. its old... the type of picture
that is rather metallic and almost black.

its a picture of a young girl posing...
and on the back, written in pencil:

"with all my love... shirley"

was it naughty of me to take this picture?
maybe...

but i did.

just something about it is so fabulous to me.
i doubt that the owner of the box even
remembered that it was still there.. as it
was just so buried beneath tons of shit.
and who's to say that if they had remembered
the box, that they would remember this
particular picture?

it doesn't matter.

that was a long time ago... and probably
long forgotten by now.

i still have the picture... and when i see
it i wonder who this person is and where
her life had lead her.

yeah... to be honest, i was worried it wouldn't
scan just because of how dark it is. and it has
that er.... black dust. its really cool [img]smile.gif[/img]

I love pictures like that. It just adds so much more to the picture. I dunno maybe I'm being weird, but everytime I see a see a picture like that I look at the clothes, the hairstyle, I look at the persons expression on their face and try to imagine what life was like then. It's just pictures that look like that, in that color and condition, they just seem like a storybook to me. They can tell so much or you can imagine so much just from looking at them. I just love old pictures like that.

dress like that for a photo... rather like a
nunnery thing

Yeah, she does look like little Shannon Doherty when she was on Little House as the other little girl with braids. That was the days before she became a stuck up, spolied, rich bitch! *L
